I’m Not Saying That PNW Winters Are Predictable, But…

Seriously, this is from NOAA's site. It's been like this for a week or so.

Also, it appears out stylesheet might need some work around the whole spacing thing. Why do you torment me, CSS?!

You are the full-spectrum light bulb to my SAD (stylesheet affective disorder)!

  • You kooky lovebirds.

Trent and I play a game we call weather poker. We check the 5 day forecast and look for a good hand – a full house, or a flush, or so on. Today is only 3 of a kind – very disappointing.

Just so long as you don’t mention to people that don’t live here how it’s predictably gorgeous all summer we’ll be fine.

  • Urrm – what about last summer, where we had about four weeks of gorgeous weather that coincided with the four weeks I was in Holland, where the summer was even colder and wetter? Not that I’m still full of bitterness and bile.

  • Ack! That forecast is just scary. CT is freezing now, but I admit, I am grateful not to be looking at that local news just now… I crave sunlight – even though your balmy temps are very appealing…..

Trent, I have no sympathy for you. You managed to work a trip to Holland to drink beer and visit libraries into your job. It was fiendishly brilliant and I’m still jealous.

Northwest winters are weird. I get confused about what month it is when there’s no snow in January. A childhood in Wisconsin will do that. Year-round fresh veggies excuse a lot of grey days though. I love this growing season!

  • chuckle…gotta love, rain, fog, drizzle, showers, and the like! Almost makes the snow look fun!
